UPDATE
This is just to let you know that negotiations with the council have finally resumed after a lull for several weeks.
We had a meeting yesterday which was very helpful. We meet again next week.
We remain optimistic that the majority of the pre 18 claims can be resolved but there are still a lot of issues to iron out. There is now no chance of this being done by August.
The council wants to get these sorted before the post 18 claims – we think this is sensible.
The council has still not sorted out finance for the post 18 trench and again I think October is unrealistic for that phase to be delivered. I still think a deal is possible, even likely, but not on that timetable.
