UPDATE ON THE UPDATE – BANK MANDATES – clarification!
Just to prove how technically illiterate I am, I managed to misunderstand the bank mandate problem.
Apparently former employees were told that only current employees can tick the box that says – use current bank details.
But people who wanted to use the same account misunderstood this – ticked the box and signed the form without filling in any bank details.
Former employees were not supposed to tick that box. Leavers MUST put in bank details even if they were the same as those previously used by GCC
What this means is that people did sign the mandate but didnt fill in the bank details.
So it wasn’t that people didnt complete the mandates it is that they left the bank details blank.
So what we will be doing tomorrow is sending out new mandates – this time you MUST FILL IN YOUR BANK DETAILS EVEN IF THE REMAIN THE SAME AS BEFORE.
If you are a leaver and did fill in the bank details – all good nothing for you to do – acceptances has already been sent to the council.
If you are a current employee – nothing to worry about. Again acceptance will have been sent to the council.
If you are a leaver and need the new mandate this should be with you tomorrow. It wont change the offer – no need to worry.
