Karl Bromley GCC and the pension fund continue with a massive data sharing and updating exercise. This is making good progress. We are just waiting for clarification on SPF on timing of the updates and notifications. They will be doing everyone that has already retired first. Watch this space.
GCC keep promising a meeting but have failed to give us any dates. This is despite requesting a meeting for over 6 months now.
So the claimant team have written to the employment tribunal to restart the litigation. This is a very disappointing development but unavoidable.
We still hope we will meet with the council soon.
On a brighter note the council have restarted the JES process starting with jobs that can be described online. This is more senior jobs to begin with but its a start. Also the unions tell me that good progress has been made in the behind the scenes structures that are necessary to keep the show on the road. There will also be some political oversight which is also very good news. Please assist the unions and our Giuliana with these processes.
